Bethany McLean’s Weekend Reading List: Ghosn’s Escape, Apollo’s Founder, and Leveraged Loans

Corruption, lobbying, corporate malfeasance, and frauds: a weekly unconventional selection of must-read articles by investigative journalist Bethany McLean.

This week is all Bloomberg, all the time. No, not the candidate: The journalism. First of all, you MUST be following the beyond wonderful Carlos Ghosn story, and this piece has it all. I mean, the title alone is spectacular.

Then, there’s this profile of another complicated titan of industry (H/T @ritholtz). It’s a must-read for anyone who thinks (as I do) that private equity is shaping, and possibly destroying, our world.

And speaking of the potential for destruction, check this out.  (H/T Bill Bergman)
