Surya Gowda is a fellow at USA Today Opinion. She previously worked as a student editor for ProMarket. She received her bachelor of arts and master of arts from the University of Chicago, where she studied political theory. She was also the cofounder and coeditor-in-chief of The Harper Review, a magazine publishing essays and letters on arts, culture, politics, and philosophy.
