A new survey of German citizens reveals the steps they’d support to help Ukrainians and punish Russia.
According to a new survey of 2,000 Germans by Briq Institute, most would support taking a variety of actions to persuade Putin to end the war in Ukraine, such as seizing oligarchs’ assets and imposing an embargo on Russian energy products.
There is also broad support for efforts to support Ukrainian victims of Russian aggression, such as aid and visas. However, a majority of Germans did not go so far as to support sending additional weapons to Ukraine, and support for EU membership lagged other efforts surveyed.
