Ahead of a Becker Friedman Institute/Stigler Center conference on race and gender discrimination that will take place in May, we are seeking papers from researchers in economics, artificial intelligence, behavioral sciences, health care, sociology, and other fields.
The Becker Friedman Institute and the Stigler Center at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business will host a joint conference on the topic of Discrimination in the 21st Century: Fostering Conversations Across Fields.
This conference will be held in person at the University of Chicago on May 6-7, 2022. It will bring together researchers from different fields to discuss crucial themes around race and gender discrimination. Experts from economics, artificial intelligence, behavioral sciences, health care, sociology, and more, will interact through presentations and open panel discussions.
This cross-disciplinary conference is organized around four themes: (a) education and pipeline; (b) systemic and structural sources of discrimination; (c) discrimination in healthcare; (d) and the impact of discrimination on economic growth.
